Boba squishy guide
How to make your boba template
The boba cup uses matching front and back pieces, plus a straw and optional side band. Decorate the pearls before the cup is sealed.
Get these ready
- *A4 printer paper or light card stock (90-120 gsm)
- *Child-safe scissors
- *A ruler and a blunt scoring tool, such as an empty pen cap
- *Clear tape or double-sided tape
- *A small amount of tissue paper or soft scrap paper for filling
What to put inside
Use a shallow layer of tissue at the base and one loose tissue scrunch above it. Do not fill the straw area.
What to stick with
Use clear tape around the cup edge. Attach the paper straw with a small folded tape tab from the inside.
- 1
Print and decorate the cup
Color, shade, or add a face to the front cup piece while it is still flat.
- 2
Cut front, back, straw, and band
Cut on the solid outlines. Keep the straw and optional side band separate until the cup is joined.
- 3
Tape the lower cup edge
Match front and back pieces, then tape around the bottom and both side edges, leaving the top open.
- 4
Add the straw
Fold the straw strip, position it at the lid line, and secure it with a small piece of tape inside the opening.
- 5
Fill the cup lightly
Add tissue through the top opening, keeping the pearls and straw clear.
- 6
Seal the lid and optional band
Close the top with clear tape. Add the side band only if you want a thicker cup shape.
Print note: Print at 100% scale. Keep the optional side band nearby in case you want a fuller cup profile.
Finish it: A tiny clear-tape layer over the pearl area makes the boba details look glossy without adding weight.
Use scissors with adult help when needed. Keep filling light and dry: do not use food, liquid, rice, beads, or anything heavy inside a paper squishy.
